Regulations Beginning JULY 31, 2011*
• Low permeation fuel tanks for integrated fuel systems
• Diurnal emission controls (carbon canister system or pressure relief system)
• Customer must reasonably expect that no fuel will spill or spit back during a refueling event
• Automatic fuel shutoff compatibility (per ABYC)
• Audible click, tethered fuel cap
* 100% implementation of low permeation fuel tanks and spitback by model year 2012
* 50% implementation of diurnal controls by 7/31/11
* 100% implementation of diurnal controls by 7/31/12
* EPA provisions available for small volume builders
